My Teacher,My Modern Day Hero

"Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself. "My educator plays a big role in cultivating the love for education in me. She encourages me to reach my ambitions, instill self-discipline,promote creative thinking, and emphasize the importance of interactive education between parents and children. Teacher must also be open to changes and innovations. She must cope with the rapid changes in technology and keep up with trends that younger generations practice. Educator-friends share their concept of education.
"True education",means more than the pursuant of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. Education is an instrument in helping our country become progressive. True education is needed" to train the youth to be thinkers",and not mere reflectors of other men thought, that's why my teacher prepares me to become responsible leader in society. There's something so good about having a teacher and a hero likewise. There's imparting knowledge, wisdom and skills to me;develop my power of reasoning and judgement;and open my mind to the field of education. Even my teacher's patience has come to an end. Someone who's there through my good times and tears, who stays by my side as teacher through the years. There's nothing as nice as someone who teaches, when I hear your words beside me. My teacher made me be the best of what I can be.She understood me,dares me,stood by me like a true child should be. She's a wonderful teacher, the warm and caring kind, the type of hero that everyone would really like to find. My teacher,my modern day hero is a blessing to me. I'm richer for having a hero like her. And its then I'm very grateful that I can truly call you My Teacher,My Modern Day Hero!
The above would suffice for now.But let me conclude with the following thought-Some of the most valuable lessons I learned from my teacher did not come from the textbooks she taught from,by from her life and how she reacted and interacted with situations, circumstances, and student like me. Adulating faults for her own,she was human enough to recognize her. While graduation maybe for graduates, teachers deserve our congratulations too. I thought something should be said about this overworked, underpaid, and unthanked creatures! Hurray to teachers!

President Noy's 2nd SONA

Philippine President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III has been delivered his 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 25, 2011 before congress. 2011 SONA marked his 2nd year as President of the Republic of the Philippines. President Noynoy (PNoy in short) is the 15th President who promised the moon and the stars during his campaign in 2010 National Election who he won by landslide. State of the Nation Address (SONA) as mandated by the Philippine Constitution of 1987-Article VII, Section 23-shall be addressed before Congress at the opening of its regular session.
Our administration is facing a forked road. On one direction, decisions are made to protect the welfare of our people and to be faithful to the public servant's sworn oath to serve the country honestly. For a long time, our country lost its way in the crooked path. And this report is merely a glimpse of our situation. And that's I understand that now is a time for sacrifice. The President kept on mentioning about "wang-wang"-a symbol of graft and corruption not only in government agencies but in all sectors of Philippine Society. Since he was the President, he then challenged every Filipino to also have the same feeling as far as fighting graft and corruption is concerned because he needs total support from his true bosses. The massive scope of the problems that we have inherited becomes much clearer. A thousands of protesters march along an avenue leading to the Philippine Congress to protest Philippine Benigno Aquino III's second State of the Nation Address at suburban Quezon City northeast of Manila, Philippines, last Monday July 25,2011. he emphasized that "wang-wang" or graft and corruption has no place in under his watch.
I never really knew how happy life could be, not until today when a few minutes from now my dreams will soon be a reality. I am expecting much from our dear President to make his promises during his campaign are made materialized. It was said that President Noynoy Aquino's SONA lacked the specifics on how to tackle the mentioned problems of the country-peace and order, poverty, political divides, graft and corruption-just to name a few. Many are waiting to him to say something and that's includes me on how he'll battle the problem of oil prices which has been constantly wrecking havoc in the lives of drivers and car owners-private or public. The specifics in tackling this outstanding problem must be ironed out. And if that happens, then PNoy will be receiving 3 times more applause in his next SONA. He has still five years to do and accomplish his mission. That five years is maybe short for him if he performs well. But too long for bad President. We will judge PNoy after finishing his full term. But it's even best for the President to also admit some of his mistakes and promise to make corrections and do them quick.
