President Noy's 2nd SONA

Philippine President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III has been delivered his 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 25, 2011 before congress. 2011 SONA marked his 2nd year as President of the Republic of the Philippines. President Noynoy (PNoy in short) is the 15th President who promised the moon and the stars during his campaign in 2010 National Election who he won by landslide. State of the Nation Address (SONA) as mandated by the Philippine Constitution of 1987-Article VII, Section 23-shall be addressed before Congress at the opening of its regular session.
Our administration is facing a forked road. On one direction, decisions are made to protect the welfare of our people and to be faithful to the public servant's sworn oath to serve the country honestly. For a long time, our country lost its way in the crooked path. And this report is merely a glimpse of our situation. And that's I understand that now is a time for sacrifice. The President kept on mentioning about "wang-wang"-a symbol of graft and corruption not only in government agencies but in all sectors of Philippine Society. Since he was the President, he then challenged every Filipino to also have the same feeling as far as fighting graft and corruption is concerned because he needs total support from his true bosses. The massive scope of the problems that we have inherited becomes much clearer. A thousands of protesters march along an avenue leading to the Philippine Congress to protest Philippine Benigno Aquino III's second State of the Nation Address at suburban Quezon City northeast of Manila, Philippines, last Monday July 25,2011. he emphasized that "wang-wang" or graft and corruption has no place in under his watch.
I never really knew how happy life could be, not until today when a few minutes from now my dreams will soon be a reality. I am expecting much from our dear President to make his promises during his campaign are made materialized. It was said that President Noynoy Aquino's SONA lacked the specifics on how to tackle the mentioned problems of the country-peace and order, poverty, political divides, graft and corruption-just to name a few. Many are waiting to him to say something and that's includes me on how he'll battle the problem of oil prices which has been constantly wrecking havoc in the lives of drivers and car owners-private or public. The specifics in tackling this outstanding problem must be ironed out. And if that happens, then PNoy will be receiving 3 times more applause in his next SONA. He has still five years to do and accomplish his mission. That five years is maybe short for him if he performs well. But too long for bad President. We will judge PNoy after finishing his full term. But it's even best for the President to also admit some of his mistakes and promise to make corrections and do them quick.
